ConstructionOnline™ continues to advance project visibility, reporting flexibility, and everyday workflow efficiency. This week’s release introduces expanded Costbook Item management, new customization options for financial reports, and targeted improvements across Bid Tracking, GamePlans, Warranty Tracking, and more.
COSTBOOKS
Expanded Costbook Item Management
Costbook Items now include new Expiration Date and Resource fields, giving construction teams greater control over cost data and the people or companies associated with each item.
New Costbook capabilities include:
- Expiration Dates: Assign an expiration date to individual Costbook Items, with new items automatically defaulting to 90 days after creation.
- Assigned Resources: Associate one or more Resources with Costbook Items for clearer vendor, subcontractor, or contact visibility.
- Expanded Table Details: Display Expiration Dates and assigned Resources directly within Costbook tables.
- Additional Filters: Filter Costbook contents by Expiration Date or Resource.
- Estimating Integration: View and filter the new Costbook Item details when selecting Costbook Items for Estimates.
- Updated Excel Tools: Include Expiration Date and Resource information in Costbook imports and exports.
Costbook exports have also been improved for more reliable access to Costbook data.
CLIENT SELECTIONS
Enhanced Selections Excel Exports
The Client Selections Excel Export now includes expanded filters and report settings, allowing construction professionals to create more focused exports for individual projects or company-wide selection activity.
New filtering options include:
- Project
- Milestone
- Trade
- Vendor
- Approval Status
- Due, Approval, Ordered, Expected, or Delivered Date
Users can also choose whether to include pending and rejected Choices in the export, providing greater control over the selection records included in the final file.
CHANGE ORDERS
- Flexible Proposal Formatting: Change Order Proposals created from Multi-Line Change Orders now include an Include Items setting, allowing users to choose between a detailed line-item breakdown and a single lump-sum value.
COMPANY REPORTING
- Expanded Current Contract Summary: The Current Contract Summary now includes the option to display Classifications and show detailed Company Overhead & Margin lines, providing greater control over the financial information presented in the report.
- Faster RFI Reporting: Performance improvements reduce generation times for RFI Reports containing large datasets.
- Consistent Financial Report Styling: The Committed vs. Actuals Report now follows the same visual styling as the Estimate vs. Invoiced and Estimate vs. Actuals reports.
GAMEPLANS
- Focused Overdue Item Reporting: New GamePlan settings allow users to include overdue items from a defined time frame, making it easier to focus printed GamePlans on the most relevant outstanding work.
- Clear User Identification: Printed GamePlans now display the applicable Company User’s name in the header.
PROPOSALS
- Custom Proposal Preset Ordering: Proposal Presets can now be reordered, allowing companies to organize frequently used report configurations according to their preferred workflow.
BID TRACKING
- Reliable Plan Sheet Delivery: Bidders who are not included on the Project Team can still receive Plan Sheet download emails requested through the Bid Sheet micro-portal.
ONCOST™ PURCHASING
- Reliable Purchasing Exports: Purchasing exports have been optimized to support successful report generation without timing out.
ONCOST™ ESTIMATING
- Accurate Negative Markup Totals: Estimate totals now accurately calculate negative percentage markups, supporting more dependable financial reporting.
REDLINE™ PLANROOM
- Accurate Publish Log Names: Plans listed in the Publish Log now retain the name of the uploaded file, providing clearer identification after publishing.
WARRANTY TRACKING
- Reliable Warranty Notifications: Email notifications are now delivered when new Warranties, Warranty Issues, and Warranty Issue Appointments are created.
MEETING MINUTES
- Consistent Template Sorting: The Meeting Minutes Templates table now sorts accurately by both Mode and Stage.
ONPLAN™ SCHEDULING
- Flexible Task and Group Colors: Task and Group colors can now be assigned reliably within Scheduling.
MISC
- Editable PDF Forms: PDF Forms can now be edited directly through the ConstructionOnline Text Editor.
- Improved Selection Picker Support: The Selection Picker has been updated to provide a more reliable experience in Safari and on iOS devices.
