New Option Allows TeamLink™ Contacts to Create Submittals

Written by UDA Corporate Newsroom | September 23, 2025

A recent update to ConstructionOnline™ introduces the ability for TeamLink™ Contacts to create construction Submittals directly through the ConstructionOnline TeamLink Portal. With this update, companies can enable the capability for subcontractors, vendors, and other third-party partners, expanding collaboration and communication for all project stakeholders.

Submittals play a vital role in ensuring that materials, products, and processes meet project requirements, making streamlined communication essential. By enabling trusted external partners to initiate Submittals, ConstructionOnline brings project documentation and collaboration together in a single, connected workspace.

New Configuration Options for TeamLink

The TeamLink Portal Settings now include a new option labeled “Allow TeamLink Users to create Submittals.”

  • This option is off by default, giving companies full control over access.

  • It can be toggled on or off at any time, depending on project needs.

  • When enabled, TeamLink Users gain access to simple, built-in tools to create submittals directly from their portal.

When a Submittal is created through the portal, the TeamLink User is automatically listed as the creator and granted edit permissions, making it easy to track submissions and maintain accountability.

Stronger Collaboration, Smarter Workflows

By involving key contributors directly in the Submittal process, ConstructionOnline strengthens project visibility while reducing administrative overhead for internal teams. This feature ensures that essential project documentation is collected accurately and efficiently, supporting faster approvals and better-informed decision-making.

This latest enhancement underscores ConstructionOnline’s mission to provide integrated, easy-to-use solutions for every member of the construction project team—whether in the office, the field, or collaborating from afar.
