The ability to reorder items and folders within Costbooks and Assemblies offers greater flexibility, faster access to critical data, and improved organization across estimating workflows.
New Drag-and-Drop Capabilities

Reorder items and folders by clicking and dragging the reorder handle located on the far right of each row.

Sort items instantly using the 3-dot Action Menu in the top-right corner, with options to sort:

Alphabetically (A → Z / Z → A)

By Creation Date (Newest → Oldest / Oldest → Newest)

Find items faster with the improved search bar, featuring a Go To Item dropdown option that allows you to jump directly to an exact item.
While this new functionality provides powerful ways to organize and navigate project data, certain parameters ensure consistency. Costbooks themselves cannot be reordered, and items or folders may only be rearranged within their current level—preventing data from being dragged into other folders or categories.
By streamlining how Costbooks and Assemblies are managed, this latest update ensures construction professionals have greater control and efficiency when building estimates and managing project data in ConstructionOnline.
