ConstructionOnline will officially release the new Payment Applications feature on Monday, February 23, 2026, expanding the platform’s project financial management capabilities with integrated, industry-standard progress billing tools.
Designed to help contractors generate formal, professional requests for payment, Payment Applications in ConstructionOnline streamline the creation, tracking, and management of pay apps—all within the same connected system used to manage estimates, change orders, and invoices.
Payment Applications will be immediately available to customers subscribed to Business or Enterprise levels of ConstructionOnline’s Commercial, Specialty, and Multifamily versions.
Built for Industry-Standard Progress Billing
Payment Applications play a critical role in construction financial workflows, particularly on projects requiring structured progress billing and formal documentation.
ConstructionOnline’s Payment Applications are designed to generate professional, industry-standard pay apps by integrating directly with existing project financial data. Using approved Change Orders, project Invoices, and detailed Estimate information already stored in the platform, users can create accurate applications for payment without recreating data manually.
Each Payment Application includes a detailed continuation sheet and Schedule of Values generated from project Estimate data, helping ensure consistency between contract values and billing documentation.
Integrated Safeguards and Status Tracking
By centralizing Payment Applications alongside other project financial records, ConstructionOnline introduces built-in safeguards that help reduce common billing errors. The system tracks which Change Orders and Invoices have already been included in prior applications and protects previously billed records from unintended modifications.
In addition, users can track the status of each Payment Application from draft through payment, improving visibility for project teams and financial stakeholders.
Payment Applications can be exported in Excel or PDF format, or submitted directly from within ConstructionOnline via email.
Learn More at the March Webinar
To provide a closer look at the new feature, ConstructionOnline will host a live webinar on March 25, 2026: Introducing New Payment Applications in ConstructionOnline. This live, expert-led session will offer an overview of Payment Applications and demonstrate how the new tools support accurate, streamlined progress billing workflows.
Built for Connected Construction Financials
Payment Applications represent another step forward in ConstructionOnline’s commitment to delivering connected financial tools that improve accuracy, transparency, and efficiency across the entire project lifecycle.
By integrating payment applications directly with project estimates, invoices, and change orders, ConstructionOnline helps teams reduce manual rework, maintain cleaner billing documentation, and strengthen financial visibility across every stage of the job.
