ConstructionOnline™ has expanded communication capabilities with the addition of Comments for OnCost Estimating, the platform's industry-leading construction estimating toolkit. Comments for OnCost Estimating bring estimated-related communication into the same centralized workflow that flows throughout the construction project management platform. 

With this update, Company Admin Users and other authorized Company Users can create and manage Comments directly within Estimating at Category, Subcategory, and Line Item levels. By keeping discussions tied to specific estimate data, ConstructionOnline helps ensure that communication remains organized, contextual, and easy to reference throughout the project lifecycle. 

Streamlined Communication Within Estimating

Comments for OnCost Estimating include a range of tools designed to improve visibility and collaboration across teams, including:

• Segmented Comment Threads
• Permission-Based Visibility Controls
• Unread Comment Indicators
• Real-time Comment Counters

Additionally, when Estimating access is enabled for ClientLink™ Users, Estimating Comments may be shared with clients connected to the project. This allows contractors and clients to communicate directly within the context of the estimate itself. 

The addition of Comments for OnCost Estimating help project teams maintain clearer communication around costs, pricing decisions, scope details, and estimate revisions—without relying on disconnected emails or external messaging platforms.
