With the latest update to Company Costbooks, ConstructionOnline™ is giving construction teams new ways to keep cost information current, organized, and easier to manage over time.
The update introduces two new fields for Costbook Items:
Expiration Dates
Expiration Dates provide a simple way to support that process. New Costbook Items are automatically assigned an expiration date 90 days from creation, helping companies establish a built-in review cycle for cost information. Existing items can also be updated with expiration dates as needed, giving teams flexibility in how they manage older records.
Resource Visibility
Resource Visibility adds another layer of context by showing associated resources directly within Costbook Item tables. Instead of opening individual records to understand who or what may be connected to an item, users can quickly reference resource information while reviewing costbook data. For items tied to multiple resources, ConstructionOnline keeps the table clean with a summarized display and easy access to the full resource list.
Together, these enhancements help companies better track when pricing information may need review and identify which resources are connected to specific costbook items.

Corresponding Filters
To support faster review and management, ConstructionOnline has also added new filtering options for Expiration Date and Resource. These filters are available when working with Company Costbooks and when selecting Costbook Items for use in estimates, helping teams narrow results and find the right items more efficiently.
Imports & Exports
The update also extends to Excel-based workflows. Costbook exports, imports, and import templates now include the new Expiration Date and Resource fields, making it easier to manage costbook data in bulk while maintaining consistency between spreadsheets and ConstructionOnline.
