UDA Technologies recently announced the early release of new automatic Project Numbering for ConstructionOnline™ Projects and Opportunities. When enabled, the highly-anticipated new feature automatically assigns a customized number to any newly created Project or Opportunity within the ConstructionOnline Company Account.
Project Numbering for ConstructionOnline™ utilizes customizable settings for the “Mask” and “Seed” to determine the number applied to new Projects or Opportunities when created. The “Mask” consists of any configured combination of characters and also provides for automated fields such as Year, Month, Day, and Number. The “Seed” assigns the initial number for the character set that follows the mask and is the starting point for all future Project or Opportunity Numbers.
While the numbering schemas for Projects and Opportunity are purposefully managed independently in ConstructionOnline, users will notice an option to “Mirror Automatic Project Numbering” for Opportunities which applies the same “Mask” and “Seed” Settings defined for Project Numbering to Opportunities. Preferences for automatic Project and Opportunity Numbering in ConstructionOnline™ can be set and enabled within Company Account Settings by any Company Admin User.
