UDA Supports Efforts of Auburn University's Southeastern Center of Robotics Education

UDA Technologies was recently recognized by Auburn University for a donation made to the Southeastern Center of Robotics Education (SCORE). Through UDA’s contribution, SCORE was able to purchase multiple robotics kits to help science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) teachers in rural and under-resourced schools as a part of the center’s current project, Using Robots to Teach in Underserved Schools.

About the Project

Across the nation, schools are implementing new curricula with a prominent focus on areas related to STEM education. However, some schools struggle to keep pace with such efforts due to a lack of resources and/or a lack of funds to provide students with crucial hands-on experiences. Enter, the Simon-Knowles Innovative Learning Library (SKILL) which offers various robotic platforms to rural and under-resourced schools in east central Alabama at no cost. Teachers can borrow kits for up to 4 weeks and receive professional development & guidance from SCORE during this time to enhance instruction.

Founder & President of UDA Technologies, Michael Stevens, is a proud alum of Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design, & Construction. Headquartered in Auburn, Alabama, UDA remains closely connected with Auburn University through various advocacy, education, and internship programs.
